
Richard Nilsson, President of Adventure of Humanity, brought together prominent humanitarian organizations at Villa Oxygene during the 76th Cannes Film Festival. The night was dedicated to Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund where their CEO Dr. Linda Ncube-Nkome had the privilege of honouring two exceptional individuals who have made an indelible impact on the lives of children worldwide. Dr. Solange Vivens, Author of “Girls Can Move Mountains” and Jerry Inzerillo, GCEO of Diriyah Company, with the esteemed Nelson Mandela Award for their unwavering commitment to the protection of children, children’s health and wellbeing, and their relentless efforts in launching various initiatives to benefit children across the globe. The evening was filled with inspiration, as attendees gathered to celebrate these remarkable honourees and their remarkable achievements, which included a special moment which occurred when Dr. Linda Ncube-Nkomo, CEO at the Fund, and Mr Anant Singh, (NMCF President’s Club members) presented Mr. Jerry Inzerillo with the prestigious award.
The event was a resounding success, bringing together esteemed guests, renowned humanitarians, and supporters from around the world. The evening gala offered first class entertainment for the VIP crowd who participated in the fundraising event in favour of Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund. Among the guests we spotted Miss World Karolina Bielawska and Israeli TV profile Hofit Giolan and Bishop Noel Jones, Brother of Grace Jones.
Mr. Christian Vosseler, the CEO of Kinderlachen, was also brought on stage during the ceremony and recognized for his decades of commitment to children in need in Europe. “Kinderlachen (“Children’s Laughter”) is one of Germany’s important non-profit organisation representing the interests and rights of children and teenagers. Founded by Christian Vosseler and Marc Peine, its genesis stems from gift giving in children’s hospitals in Dortmund.” The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund wishes continued success to the Kinderlachen foundation.”
At the event, Jerry Inzerillo was also celebrated and acknowledged for his exceptional contributions to the betterment of our world. The Better World Fund proudly acknowledged Mr. Inzerillo’s unwavering dedication and tireless efforts, which have positively impacted the lives of numerous individuals and served as a beacon of hope and positive change worldwide.
The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, established by Nelson Mandela in 1995, is a non-profit organization dedicated to reshaping how society cares for children and youth by championing their rights. The organization’s mission is to empower African children, giving them a voice and ensuring their dignity.
With a five-year strategy encompassing child survival and development, child safety and protection, youth leadership, and sustainable livelihood projects, the organization has evolved from a grant-making entity into a comprehensive development agency advocating for children’s rights. Funding for the organization comes from individual donations, corporate support, and foundations.
