Seoul, June 25 and Munich June 27

Michael Jackson & Friends, “Adventure of Humanity” were two concerts held by Michael Jackson in 1999, with numerous other performers as well. The purpose of the tour was to raise funds for children in Kosovo, Africa and elsewhere via Nelson Mandela’s Childrens Fund, The Red Cross and UNESCO. Jackson gave two concerts during the tour.

The first concert took place in Seoul, South Korea on June 25 (exactly ten years before his death) and the second one was in Munich, Germany. Jackson was joined by long-time collaborator Slash during the two concerts. She’s Out of My Life was reportedly planned for the Seoul concert as a duet with Sade, but was cancelled.

At the Munich, Germany concert on June 27, while performing “Earth Song”, the middle section of the bridge collapsed after ascending into the air. Jackson climbed out of the pit that the mechanism landed in, and continued the song without missing a beat. The guitarist Slash was front and center on the main stage at the time: he also continued his performance without missing a beat, while dashing upstage to safety. Jackson finished the concert, but was taken to the Rechts der Isaac Hospital afterwards. He suffered a damaged spine, a sprained ankle, shock nerves and slight burns on his arms. None of the fans, crew or backup performers were injured. The crash was confirmed to be a mechanical failure from the crane.

Other artists performing at the two concerts included Slash, The Scorpions, Boyz II Men, Luther Vandeross, Mariah Carey, A. R. Rahman, Prabhu Deva Sundaram, Shobana, Andrea Bocelli and Luciano Pavarotti.

In May 1, 1999, just before the two concerts, Michael Jackson was presented with the “Outstanding Humanitarian Award” at Bollywood Movie Awards in New York City where he noted Mahatma Gandhi to have been an inspiration for him.

Our Mission
& Values

“The earth is out of balance and our mission is to restore the hope and aspirations for the next generation. If we can teach our children to feel more and think a little bit less and let their hearts guide them towards what is right and what is wrong, then everything will be all right.

The change will start in each one’s home, its what you fill your child with is what will come out from your child. You only need to fill them with love, love is all they need, and love is free.

I believe in a free society with equal rights. Equal rights between men and women, equal rights between children, equal rights no matter of the colour of your skin or religious believes. We are all the same and humanity wear all colours. I belive in a world in Unity with Diversity.”
