
In a powerful moment of unity, Richard Nilsson participated in a sacred pipe ceremony, sharing this solemn tradition with Oren Lyons, Faithkeeper of the Turtle Clan, Onondaga Nation. He serves on the Grand Council of Chiefs of the Six Nations of the Iroquois Confederacy – Haudenosaunee., all in the name of global peace. This significant event unfolded in San Diego during the Lacrosse World Championship. Adventure of Humanity remains dedicated to bringing together spiritual leaders and advocates for peace from around the world. We are deeply honored to stand alongside Oren Lyons, as well as the esteemed families of Michael Jackson, the Royal House of Mandela, Tara Gandhi, and HH Dalai Lama. Oren R. Lyons Jr. (born 1930, Seneca) is a Faithkeeper of the Turtle Clan, one of the Six Nations of the historic Haudenosaunee Confederacy. Lyons has dedicated over 14 years of service as a member of the Indigenous Peoples of the Human Rights Commission of the United Nations, holding various leadership roles. He is also known for his accomplishments as a college lacrosse player at Syracuse University during his undergraduate years, later becoming a prominent advocate for Indigenous peoples’ rights. Lyons is the founder of the Haudenosaunee lacrosse team and has also served as a professor of American Studies at the University of Buffalo.
